There are many fine bands in the South Yorkshire Area.
Big Thrill Fronted by vocalist Sadie Hill, Big Thrill perform their own material as well as reworkings of classics. Keyboard player Joe Dudziak and guitarist Kevin Johnson have been a writing and recording team for over 30 years giving the band its core sound. While the backbone comes from Steve Black, bass, and Nigel Hicks on drums. Sadie's powerful and emotive vocals are reminiscent, if not in timbre but certainly in performance, of the great Janis Joplin. The bands have supported a number of the acts appearing at the Yorkshire Blues Festival, and are currently writing new material for their first album.
