Rudi Blues is helping to promote music events around the South Yorkshire area through Brave New Arts Events Ltd, a not for profit organisation. BNA has provided help to young musicians since 1997 in the South Yorkshire area and also provides technical help through working at community and charitable events such as Music In The Sun (Sheffield in the 1990's), Oakwood Real Ale and Music Festival (for 4 years), and by running JAM nights at several venues in Rotherham for several years, see www.effingjam.com.
Charity gig for Rotherham Hospice on 29th September 2013 - Woodlands Club, Clifton, Rotherham.
Update. Here are photos from the event which raised over £1,000 for the 2 charities, Rotherham Hospice and Woodlands Club.
Brave New Arts, a not for profit organisation dedicated to raising funds for worthy causes and to developing live music for young musicians, is helping to promote an afternoon of music with several bands starting at 2pm and running until 8ish. There will be food available and no doubt we will be running raffles etc for the charity. If there is a better cause to support in Rotherham at the moment, we cant think of one! If the weather is good, we will be outside, if not then inside. Thanks to all the bands who played for free. Bands who played;
Jax Danielz - The Storm Trees - Gary Davis
View From S62 - The Tom Kilner Band - Black Toad
Steph Little - The Racoons - Reutemann
Andy Hoult - The Bob Humphries Inquiry
There will also be a set from members of the house band, Musique Acoustique who are always
popular and do a regular Sunday set on the first Sunday each month and Papa Legbas.
